STREIT Group highlights ideal solutions for Africa at AAD 2014

STREIT Group is presenting its armored vehicle and security solutions at Africa Aerospace & Defence (AAD) 2014. In particular, STREIT Group’s main focus will be on enabling customers to protect and save lives by delivering a range of vehicles and training courses perfectly adapted to the regions security and defense challenges. The world’s leading privately owned company will also concentrate on its impressive record for delivering vehicles quickly and affordably.

STREIT Group’s strong reputation, relationships and success in Africa and the Middle East have been central to it becoming the world’s leading privately owned manufacturer of armored vehicles. Earlier this year the company announced the largest ever single order in its 22-year history, to supply 480 special purpose vehicles for riot control situations in North Africa.

“We are very familiar with the challenges faced by customers in the region, and the need to counter the many threats to human lives,” says STREIT Group Chief Executive Guerman Goutorov. “We understand especially the need for vehicles to protect against mines and other explosives - and the fact that those vehicles must be provided quickly. Our record shows that we not only provide armored vehicles in the shortest of timescales, but we do so at the most competitive price.”

During AAD 2014, STREIT Group will highlight the Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) solutions best suited to Africa’s needs - each of which can be customised and supplied immediately from available stock or, in the case of larger orders, delivered through one of its efficient production facilities worldwide.

The vehicles include Cougar, the lowest-priced Level B6 APC on the market, and the very popular Spartan Light Armored Vehicle (LAV). Like all STREIT Group products, these have been engineered for easy maintenance and agile all-terrain capabilities, as well as high level of protection. Typhoon will be one of the MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles on display, and visitors’ attention will be drawn to performance-enhancing features such as its independent suspension system.

Typhoon, Varan, Warrior and Shrek models, which were recently launched at Eurosatory 2014, will make their African debut, along with established best seller products such as Cougar APC. STREIT Group’s Scorpion, tested and certified to STANAG Level 3 blast protection standard and now ready for STANAG Level 4 testing, will be available at the exhibition.

More than 12,000 STREIT Group armored vehicles have been deployed by civilian and military customers around the globe, in some of the world’s most hostile environments. Guerman Goutorov is proud to say that not a single fatality has ever resulted from confrontations involving these products.

“We are committed to providing the best and most cost-effective protection solutions to our customers, and our commitment can be seen to have paid off by the fact that everyone who has ever been involved in an incident while travelling in a STREIT vehicle has survived the attacks.”
