Army delegation of China in Turkey to boost military cooperation between the two countries.
General Necdet Özel, chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) , met on April 17 with Lt. Gen. Wang Guanzhong, deputy chief of general staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), who headed a Chinese military delegation to attend the 4th China - Turkey High-Level Dialogue Meeting on Military Cooperation in Ankara.

Gen. Necdet Özel said that both Turkey and China are important countries in the respective regions they are in, so, it is of great significance for the two countries to strengthen the bilateral friendly cooperation.

Özel expressed that Turkey determinedly supports the one - China policy and respects China’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. He believed that, with the joint efforts of both sides, the friendly cooperation between Turkey and China and the friendly cooperation between the TAF and Chinese PLA will definitely achieve further development.

Wang Guanzhong said that the friendly cooperation between Turkey and China remains sustainable and stable development. In recent years, the political mutual-trust between the two sides has been constantly strengthened. China attaches importance to the bilateral cooperation and is willing to further promote bilateral military exchange with Turkey and to deepen pragmatic cooperation between both sides in various fields such as military training and equipment technology, so as to improve the cooperation level constantly.

Gen. Necdet Özel and Lt. Gen. Wang Guanzhong reached the consensus that the terrorism is the international hazard and the two sides should strengthen exchange and cooperation in the anti-terrorism field and work together to maintain regional peace and stability.
