Opening of the II International Military Technical Forum near Moscow, Russia.
This Tuesday, September 6, 2016, was the opening of the II International Military Technical Forum which will take place from the 6 to 11 September in the Patriotic Park near Moscow, Russia.
     
     

The Army-2016 military and technical forum showcases latest developments in weapons, military vehicles and technology from the Russian defense industry and the armed forces of the country.

The first day was attended by the Russian government and the Defense Ministry official including the Russian defense minister, Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shoygu.

The event brings together representatives from the Russian defense industry, research institutes, universities, as well as foreign companies. Over 800 Russian and foreign participants are expected to be involved in some 7,000 exhibitions throughout the week. The forum's participants and guests are attending a number of conferences and roundtables to discuss the future development of military technology.

Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport will exhibit hundreds of types of weaponry and advanced military equipment manufactured for export at the Army-2016 forum, Rosoboronexport said in a press release Monday.

Russia’s Defense Ministry has signed long-term contracts worth more than 130 billion rubles ($2.019 billion) at the Army-2016 International Military-Technical Forum, Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov said on Sept. 7.
