"We have developed this combat vehicle on our own initiative in a month and a half. This vehicle can be manufactured in armored and unarmored versions. We plan to build, on its basis, the VPK-233136 Tiger-M vehicle that offers the fifth class of protection resisting a bullet with a thermally hardened core fired by the 7.62 mm caliber automatic Kalashnikov rifles," Krasovitsky said.

The Tigr-M is an improved version of the standard 4x4 light tactical vehicle Tigr GAZ-2330. The vehicle was developed by the Military Industrial Company in line with the specifications of the Russian Defense Ministry to expand the operational envelope of the Tigr special vehicle.

The layout of the ambulance version of the Tigr-M is similar to the original Tigr vehicle, but the rear compartment of the vehicle has been raised to offer more internal space. In armoured configuration, the vehicle offers a ballistic protection Level 2 STANAG 4569, firing of small arms 7.62mm caliber. It has a curb weight of 7,300 kg and a payload of 1,200 kg.

According to him, the vehicle has become higher and can accommodate four wounded soldiers in a horizontal or sitting position plus the driver, medic or paramedic and one more medical assistant. "The selling prospects are good, too. Foreign colleagues start showing an interest in the product," the source specified.
