British Army Royal Air Force and Navy strike numerous targets in Zlitan, Libya
 
The British Army Royal air Force and Royal Navy have been conducting strikes against key targets of Colonel Gaddafi's former regime, particularly in Zlitan, this weekend. Two formations conducted a concerted strike on a former regime barracks and ammunition depot near the town of Zlitan, Sunday July 7, 2011, as well as a headquarters.

Navistar Defense receives an order from U.S. Army TACOM for 194 troop transport vehicles
 
Navistar Defense, LLC today announced that it received both a contract extension and a delivery order to support Afghanistan Security Forces. The $28 million order from the U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command calls for 194 general troop transport vehicles. The contract extension runs through December 2011 and has a ceiling of $83 million to allow for additional vehicle orders and support packages

Germany has airlifted five of its new Boxer multirole armored vehicles to Afghanistan for what will be the vehicles' first operational deployment.
