The Chinese military has deployed a new advanced short-range missile known as the DF-12 that was revealed for the first time in photos posted on the Internet this week. Disclosure of the missile follows publication of an Air Force National Space and Missile Intelligence Center (NASIC) report describing China as having the most aggressive ballistic missile development program in the world.

Army of Pakistan confirms the purchase of Serbian-made Lazar II 8x8 armored personnel carrier
 

The Pakistan Army is reportedly in the process of acquiring new Armoured Fighting Vehicles (AFV)’s as a part of its initiative to fight terrorist outfits on Pakistan’s western border. According to reports the army has procured three Serbian LAZAR II AFV’s for evaluation with the possibility of constructing facilities to produce the AFV/APC locally, under license.

Tunisian army has launched combat operations against terrorists fighters near Algerian border
 

The Tunisian army has launched an offensive against a group of fighters near the Algerian border, where eight Tunisian soldiers were killed earlier this week by suspected "terrorists", AFP news agency says quoting a security source. The source said the attack took place 16km from Kasserine, near Mount Chaambi, where the eight Tunisian troops were found on Monday with their throats cut after being ambushed by fighters.
