HDS is a worldwide developer, manufacturer and provider of mortar systems. The product range, consisting of different types of mortar ammunition, weapon systems, auxiliary field equipment, aiming and sighting systems, illustrates the variety of technologies and know-how used by HDS.

The outstanding performance of HDS mortar systems is a result of the combination of several key technologies and know-how in order to synchronize the development of mortars and corresponding mortar ammunition. By combining the ability to develop, design and produce every important aspect of a mortar system, namely the mortar itself, several types of mortar ammunition, optical instruments for aiming and calibration, observation instruments, fire control systems for command and control of mortar units as well as different observation equipment, HDS is a Partner for End Users of mortar systems in every aspect of the weapon system. MORTAR AMMUNITION
Based on the long tradition of developing, manufacturing and promoting military large caliber ammunition, HDS has focused on the production of smooth-bore mortar ammunition in the calibers 60, 81 and 120mm since the beginning of 1960. HDS mortar bombs are of the highest combat-effectiveness and provide maximum safety in hostile environments all over the world, without diminished level of performance or durability. As a One-Stop-Shop for mortar systems, HDS offers several different types of mortar ammunition to fulfill all End User tactical requirements and demands with equally high standards of performance. The HE grenade, as a standard grenade, can also be used as a target practice or target marking grenade for training purposes. For smoke grenades, HDS offers three different kinds of chemical agents to provide different kind of smoke; White Phosphorus (WP)s, Red Phosphorus (RP) or Titaniumtetrachloride (TTC)which generates cold fast cold smoke.
For illuminating the battlefield, HDS offers two types of ammunition. With standard ILL-VI, visible light is emitted to brighten up the darkness. Further ILL-IR rounds considerably enhance night-fighting capability, providing a major tactical advantage on the battlefield.

MORTAR WEAPONS
HDS offers a comprehensive range of mortar weapons in in 60mm, 81mm (82mm) and 120mm calibres, featuring high fire power, long range, high accuracy and maximum reliability based on the longtime know-how and experience in the development and manufacturing ofweapon systems. Additionally HDS, as a mortar ammunition manufacturer, together with the combination of know-how of manufacturing weapons and ammunition results in a deep understanding of every aspect and component of mortar weapon systems. This is the basis for the extraordinary performance and usability of the HDS weapon systems.

TANK, ARTILLERY AND HOWITZER AMMUNITION

As a manufacturer of large caliber ammunition, HDS provides ammunition for 105mm tank gun, 105mm howitzer and 155 mm howitzer ammunition as well as components for 155mm ammunition.

HDS offers ammunition for L/7, CN-105-F1, RH-105, M68 and equivalent weapon NATO 105mm tank gun systems, for guns mounted on Leopard 1, Centurion, Chieftain, Centauro, AMX-30, M60, M48A5 or Challenger tanks. For the M105mm M57 tank gun for Kürassier and AMX-13 tanks, HE, HESH, HESH practice and APFSDS-T types are also available.

The HDS 105mm howitzer ammunition is tailored to the needs of customers' artillery weapon systems and is available in HE, SMK-WP and SMK-TTC variants; blanks are also available.

The HDS 60mm Commando Mortar M6C-640 Mk1 is an excellent choice for independent infantry fire support, which can be operated by a two-man team without ballistic calculation or fire coordination. It is aimed either with indirect fire coordination, or directly by line of sight by the operator himself. The easy handling and highly mobility of the weapon was designed for special missions, paratrooper or commando operations.

Developed for the Austrian Army, the M8-1165 AND M8-1365 81MM MORTARs not only meet the highest tactical and logistical demands. The materials, components and concepts employed result in extremely high reliability under very different topographical conditions. To maintain the high standards in accuracy whilst achieving a maximum range of 6.000m , the 81mm weapon systems relies on a precise signing system.

The HDS 60mm bipod mortars, M6-640, M6-895 and M6-1000 mortar are reliable and resilient weapons for indirect fire support for infantry units which enable the operator to fire a maximum amount of 30 rounds per minute at a maximum range of 4.000 meters.
