IDEF 2023: Day 3 summary at International Defense Exhibition Istanbul Türkiye.

ISTANBUL, TURKEY, July 30, 2023 - On the third day of the International Defense Exhibition (IDEF) 2023, renowned defense companies from around the globe showcased their latest military and security equipment across land, naval, and aerospace sectors. Notable among the displays were the exhibits by Turkish company Otokar and UAE-based International Armored Group (IAG).

Otokar, a leading provider of military land systems, presented an impressive lineup of armored vehicles, demonstrating their commitment to advancing defense technology. They unveiled their full range of tracked and wheeled armored vehicles, including the Ural Armoured Personnel Carrier, the Akrep 4x4 armored vehicle, and the Akrep II R reconnaissance and surveillance vehicle.

One of the highlights was the newly released Otokar ARMA II, an 8x8 armored vehicle armed with a 30mm automatic cannon and UNTAS anti-tank guided missile. The company also presented the ARMA II in ARV Armored Recovery and Repair Vehicle configuration.

Otokar's innovation in unmanned technology was also evident as they unveiled the ALPAR UGV, a state-of-the-art Unmanned Ground Vehicle. Other spotlight items included the Tulpar light tank fitted with a Belgian John Cockerill 105mm turret XC-8 105-HP, and the Otokar Cobra II 4x4 APC armored personnel carrier vehicle, which came equipped with a drone reconnaissance unit. The versatile Cobra II was also showcased in an ambulance version, underlining Otokar's comprehensive defense solutions.

The IDEF 2023 also saw the UAE-based company, International Armored Group (IAG), exhibit its full range of wheeled armored vehicles. IAG's display included the Rila 8x8 armored IFV Infantry Fighting Vehicle and the Rila 4x4 Xtreme MRAP Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle. The company also unveiled the JAWS 4x4, a light armored tactical vehicle designed for security and police forces, demonstrating its versatility and focus on safety.
