British Army displays L3 TRL'S Broadshield LCS C-RCIED jammer at DSA 2018

The Broadshield Lightweight Electronic Counter-Measures Suite (LCS) is L3 TRL'S most compact, Counter Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Device ( C-RIED ) jamming system. The LCS utilises proven Broadshield technology taking its Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) to a level not previously available in the international market.

LCS provides a highly capable solution to both military and law enforcement agencies, with its size adn weight ( <2kg ) ensuring minimal impact on mission profiles in Special Forces, EOD and Force Protection applications. As with Broadshield equipment, the LCS can be quickly reprogrammed in the field to change waveforms, target frequencies and operating parameters. This low profile system supports discreet deployment in manportable and vehicle roles, including motorcycle panniers for VVIP protection.

Designed to provide uncompromising performance in a compact enclosure, LCS uses two units to cover the complete 20MHz to 6 GHz threat spectrum. With software definable fills uploaded via a common programming interface, a battery agnostic capabiity and a similar user interface to the MCS, LCS is designed to transition smoothly into service with minimal training burden for existing and new customer. L3 TRL offers a proven support model for all of their systems. This inclues specialist training for operator, trainer and programmer, a central support desk function and a dedicated threat cell offering device exploitation and waveform creation.
