New IMUT ST-100 MRAP vehicle appears at EDEX 2018.

Egypt's International Marathon United Technology Group (IMUT) is introducing two brand new armored vehicles at this first edition of EDEX defense exhibition. Besides the ST-500 4x4 amored vehicle presented yesterday is the new ST-100 MRAP vehicle.

Impressive power and handling make the ST-100 equally suited to urban and off-road deployment; the vehicle offers excellent protection against both ballistic and blast threats with crew compartment protection of CEN Level SR6 / SR7 armor in various applications ranging from a combat and reconnaissance vehicle to a C2 platform. The ST-100 adopts a classic MRAP APC body layout, with two side doors, one rear door, one weapon escape hatch and one roof hatch.

International Marathon United Technology Group (IMUT) offers a wide range of extra additional features which can be integrated on the ST-100 during manufacturing phase-guaranteeing total compatibility. This vehicle can be fitted with a various range of light remote-controlled weapon stations. Remote turrets can be armed with a 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm machine gun or 40 mm automatic grenade launcher. The armament is mounted on the top of the roof which has a single hatch.

The IMUT ST-100 has a length of 6.45 m, a width of 2.63 m and a height of 3.8 m. It features a curb weight of 14,500 kg and can carry a payload of 3,500 kg. Typical payload consists of crew, kit, ammo, C2 and BMS, weapon system and additional protection. The vehicle also includes a fire suppression system and smoke grenade launchers.

The ST-100 showcased at EDEX 2018 also adds diver aids, such as front and rear cameras and driver day/night sight and a Metravib PILAR V gunshot detection system installed on the roof.

The ST-100 is motorized with a Cummins ISL 8.9 liters Diesel intercooled turbo charged engine developing 400 hp. coupled to a ZF EcoLife 6 speed transmission. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed from 100 to 115 km/h.
