Eurosatory confirms leading position in land and airland defence and security exhibitions


With 1,802 exhibitors from 63 countries and 57,056 trade visitors, Eurosatory has unquestionably established itself as the leading international exhibition in the field of Land and Airland Defence and Security. The 2018 edition highlights a change in the visitors' level and an internationalisation and professionalisation of the exhibition.

It is undeniable that the word "innovation" characterises this 26th edition of the show. Already very present in major groups, mid-market companies and SMEs, innovation is further enhanced at the exhibition by the presence of the start-ups in Eurosatory LAB and in the GENERATE incubator of GICAT. In total, more than 80 start-ups were present.

The number of new products unveiled for the first time at the Eurosatory trade fair was already very important in 2016 and it progressed significantly in 2018.

The field of security is now a full component of Eurosatory alongside the defence sector. The duality of technologies on many stands and the opening of a new hall mainly dedicated to this field, attest the growing importance of security issues.

For the Live demonstrations, real specificity of the show, the presence for the first time of security forces: RAID, GIGN, Prefecture of Police (with the BRI and the BSPP), Special Forces and the Ground Forces, was a real success.

Let's not forget the importance of reflexion at the exhibition with no less than 71 conferences on varied and complex topics.

Finally, during this last day, Eurosatory was delighted to welcome students to allow them a chance to discover the many jobs offered by the Defence and Security sectors.
