The Sipri arms transfer report of Russian military equipment delivered to India for 2015 includes PJ-10 anti-ship missiles, Su-30MK fighter aircraft, MiG-29 fighter aircraft, T-90MS main battle tank, 9M119 Swir/AT-11 anti-tank missiles, BMP-2 armoured infantry fighting vehicle, 9M113 Konkurs/AT-5 anti-tank missiles, and S-400 air defense missile systems.
 

In December 2015, the Kommersant newspaper has announced that India is set to buy weapons from Russia worth more than $7 billion. India has planned to purchase five Russian-made S-400 air defense missile systems.

In addition, Russia and India are expected to discuss the agreements on the purchase of two Varshavyanka-class diesel-electric submarines, 48 Mi-17V-5 military transport helicopters, 150 BMP-2/2K armored fighting vehicles and three Project 11356 frigates.

According to it, the United States ranks second, with 300 billion rupees (about $4.4 billion) allocated from India’s budget on its military products from 2012-2013 to 2014-2015 fiscal years.

Russia also maintained its leading positions in the number of defense contracts signed with India within this period of time.

"From 2012-2013 to 2014-2015 fiscal years, 162 arms purchase contracts were signed, among them 67 with other countries, including Russia (18 agreements), the United States (13) and France (six)," the defense ministry said.

In India, a fiscal year begins on April 1 and ends on March 31.
