According the first shooting tests performed by French soldiers, the HK416H is robustness. it's very easy to adjust the weapon to the shooter's shoulder thanks to the HK-designed 5-position buttstock. The front of the HK416F is fitted with a vertical foregrip and a bipod mounted on Pictanny rail under the handguard.

"After the first shooting, I feel the good performances of the HK416F", said a French soldier. " The excellent sensation felt is confirmed, especially during the burst shooting.", he added.

The HK416F has a rate of fire of 850 rounds/min, slower than the FAMAS ( 1,100 rds/min) offering better control of the weapon in burst shot.
