Pakistan ready to create new relationship with worldwide defense and security companies.
The International Defense Exhibition in Pakistan, IDEAS is a very important event for the country to create new relationship with worldwide companies involved in the field of defense and security. Held every two years, the edition 2016 of IDEAS is attended by more than 400 companies from all over the world.
     
     

Several important memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed on the first and ongoing second day of the ninth International Defence Exhibition and Seminar IDEAS 2016 which takes place in Karachi (Pakistan) from the 22 to 25 November 2016.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mister Nawaz Shari said the country’s defence products are of advanced quality and lauded the efforts of the Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) in strengthening public-private partnership in defence production.

He said Pakistan today presents vast opportunities for foreign investment, joint agreements and trade. The government is determined to further strengthen the economy, he added.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan added that the government is paying special attention towards the social sector and is investing in development of the defence industry.

Pakistan has now the capacity to produce state-of-the-art defence products using latest innovations and technologies. Foreign companies should come forward to establish business relation with the local companies to create new joint venture .

The business environment for foreign investment has been encouraging in the country in view of the improved law and order situation. "Incidents of terrorism have declined in the country," added The Prime Minister of Pakistan.

At IDEAS 2016, a wide range of weapons and other military equipment reflects the best outcome of joint efforts made by the country's public and private sectors in collaboration with international companies.
