NIMR Automotive, a UAE-based defence vehicle manufacturer - part of the Emirates Defence Industries Company (EDIC) - has announced the launch of a new vehicle line-up for 2015 at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference 2015 (IDEX). These include: the HAFEET Armoured Personnel Carrier equipped with Battle Management System.

All the HAFEET vehicles utilise the NIMR double wishbone independent suspension portal axles fitted with coil springs and hydraulic dampers to provide outstanding mobilityc in all terrains. The vehicle architecture has been developed to meet the harsh desert conditions of the world but is equally capable in all climatic conditions and environments. With steep approach and departures angles, full Central Tyre Inflation system run flats tyres as standard, and a high power-to-weight ration, the NIMR HAFEET provides the user with the performance required to complete the mission.

The HAFEET Class features variants with a high degree of protection to enhance survivability of the crew to attack from roadside IEDs, under-vehicle mines and ballistic threats. These tested and certified vehicles provide for physical crew security. Roof mounted self-defence weapons, integrated command & control and mission systems provide additional crew survivability.

The HAFEET Class provides a multi-mission capable platform suitable for mounting and integrating a multitude of weapons and mission systems. The electronic architecture ensures communication integration and the advanced power management can both enable the mission and protect the vehicle.

The HAFEET APC is fitted with a 10 man cabin protected against significant IED, blast and ballistic threats for use as a battlefield taxi or can be adapted as a battlefiel ambulance. It is 6.45 m long, 2.3 m width and 2.45 m heigt. Its cruising range is about 600 km at 100 km/h.
