The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (5 SCOTS), have recently been training in France with the French Army's 152nd Infantry Regiment. Exercise Gaulish Hackle took place at the Centre d'Entrainement aux Actions en Zone Urbaine (CENZUB) - a French urban warfare training facility.

Military parade in Iraq to commemorate the 91st anniversary of the Iraqi army
 

A military parade was held today to commemorate the 91st anniversary of the Iraqi army, which is the first since US forces withdrawal. The ceremony was attended by Premier Nouri al-Maliki, acting defence minister Sadoun Dulaimi, chief of staff Babakr Zebari and a number of ministers, senior officials and diplomatic missions accredited to Iraq.

General Dynamics Awarded $60 Million for Abrams M1 Main Battle Tank Upgrades
 

The U.S. Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems $60 million under an existing contract to continue upgrading M1A1 tanks to the M1A2 Systems Enhancement Package (SEP) V2 configuration. General Dynamics Land Systems is a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).
