German army began sending of Patriot ground-to-air defence missile system to Turkey
 

Germany began sending Patriot missiles to Turkey on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, as a ship carrying the equipment left the northeastern German seaport Lubeck-Travemunde for Turkey. The ship named "Suecia Seaways," loaded with 300 vehicles and over 130 containers, will arrive at Turkey's Iskenderun Port on Jan. 21, according to a German statement issued on Monday, January 7, 2013.

Thales receives sub-contract from Rheinmetall for "Gladius" German Future Soldier project
 

As part of the "Gladius" project, Thales has received the subcontract from Rheinmetall Defence to manufacture and supply 310 night vision goggles of type Lucie II D and 16 IR modules for 30 combat systems of the "Infantry Soldier of the Future" (IdZ 2). In addition, Thales will supply this highly modern combat gear with 300 UHF radios of type SOLAR 400 EG-E.

The United States has given 200 M113 tracked armoured personnel carrier vehicles to Lebanon, the Lebanese army said on Monday, January 7, 2013, bolstering forces that have been struggling to deal with sectarian violence inflamed by the war across the border in Syria. The M113 armored personnel carriers (APCs) arrived by ship to Beirut on Sunday, the army said in a statement.

Russian Defence Minister agrees for production of 10 BMD-4M and 10 BTR-MD airborne armoured
 

The first 10 airborne armoured infantry fighting vehicles BMD-4 will be delivered to the Airborne troops of Russian army for the second half of 2013, has announced in December 2012, the Airborne troops commander, General Colonel Vladimir Shamanov. The Russian Defence Minister has also agreed the production of 10 BMD-4M and 10 BTR-MD Rakushka for the first half of 2013 for the infantry units of Russian Navy.

Ukraine will deliver its first batch of T-84 Oplot main battle tanks to the army of Thailand in May, army chief Prayuth Chan-ocha said, Saturday, January 5, 2012. Under the staggered delivery schedule, five of the tanks will be delivered in May, with another 50 tanks due by the end of 2015, he said. The army has ordered a total of 200 of the T-84 Oplot tanks.

U.S Army Field Support Brigade completes M1114 Humvee transfer to Afghan National Army
 

A historic mission for the 401st Army Field Support Brigade of U.S. Army came to an end, Nov. 12, when AFSBn-Bagram issued 49 M1114 vehicles to the Afghan National Army, under a Foreign Military Sales case. The 49 vehicles were the last of more than 950 vehicles that were involved in the program that lasted about two and one-half years.
