Poland's National Defence Ministry orders 200 Patria AMV 8x8 armored modular vehicles
The Ministry of National Defence Republic of Poland has placed an additional order for AMV 8x8 vehicles from Patria’s Polish partner Rosomak S.A. Patria will deliver components for 200 vehicles for Rosomak S.A., which produces the vehicles under Patria’s license.

Deliveries will take place during 2015-2019. The order with a total value of some 90 MEUR, strengthens Patria’s order stock, but does not generate much work for the Hämeenlinna unit. Poland signed a contract in October 2013 for 307 Patria AMVs, the contract includes the RAK version with turreted 120 mm automatic developed by HSW.

The Patria AMV (Armored Modular Vehicle) is an 8x8 multi-role military vehicle. Patria offers the latest technology and payload capacity enabling the simultaneous integration of high protection level and heavy weapon system without compromising the mobility of the vehicle.

The high payload allows various types of weapon systems to be integrated, from 7.62 mm to 105 mm turret systems or 120 mm AMOS/Patria Nemo. The basic version of the Patria AMV is equipped with Patria PML 127 OWS turret for 12.7 mm heavy machine gun. The AMV has the best protection level in its class, up to 30 mm APFSDS from frontal arc and it has top-class mine protection, up to 10 kg TNT. The vehicle is fitted with modular ballistic protection to the customer specification.

The Patria AMV can carry 8-12 soldiers with complete equipment and has a maximum range of 800 km.
