Aimpoint launches ACRO P-1 at 2019 SHOT Show.

| 2019

Aimpoint, the originator and worldwide leader in red dot sighting technology, has introduced the ACRO P-1™ pistol sight to the US market. This compact sight design was developed primarily for use on handguns but offers broad applications for other firearms as well. The Acro P-1 sight can also be used on rifles, shotguns, and carbines, or as a compact electronic backup sight.

The Acro P-1 was built to withstand environmental and temperature extremes and has been tested to withstand firing a minimum of 20,000 rounds of .40 S&W caliber ammunition. This sight is designed around an enclosed optical channel that completely protects the signal between the emitter and the lens. This ensures that rain, dust, mud, and sand cannot disrupt the operation of the sight. The electronic components and battery are also completely sealed and protected within the anodized aluminum alloy housing, making the sight completely submersible to 25 meters.

“The Acro P-1 creates a new standard for reflex optics for use on handguns,” said Aimpoint AB President Lennart Ljungfelt. “This revolutionary sight provides the most rugged and reliable sighting solution for its size and application currently available.”

This new sight mounts directly to the optics-ready slide cut present on modern pistols, utilizing a one-piece adapter plate. The Acro P-1 features a 3.5 MOA red dot reticle, and digital intensity adjustment switches than can be manipulated while wearing gloves. The battery can be changed without removing the sight from the firearm or loss of zero. A single CR1225 battery provides over one year of continuous operation and is compatible with night vision devices.
