Otokar secures USD 29 million export deal for 8x8 Arma APCs.

Otokar, Koç Holding’s bus and military vehicle manufacturer, has secured an export deal worth $28.9 million, the Hürriyet Daily News reports. “Our company has secured an export deal worth $28.9 million, which includes the sale of tactical wheeled armored vehicles, spare parts and training services regarding these vehicles,” Otokar said in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on July 30.

The deliveries of the orders are expected to be completed until the first quarter of 2019, it added. The company has not specified the purchaser in the announcement, nor the vehicle concerned by the purchase but it should be the 8x8 Arma.

The Arma 8x8 is a new generation modular armored vehicle with superior tactical and technical features. Thanks to the modularity and highly protected armored monocoque hull design, Arma 8x8 is a multipurpose platform allowing the integration of various types of mission equipment or weapon systems which can meet the current needs of the modern armies in real battlefield and peacemaking operations.
