Within the airshow, the experts from Russian Helicopters holding company presents a wide range of multi-purpose civil equipment in order to increase the demand of the Latin American customers for the holding company's products. Visitors can have a look at the light multipurpose Ansat helicopters in police modification and Ka-226T helicopters with medical modules. The model range of military equipment is being presented by Mi-28NE combat helicopter. The system of after-sales service of helicopters is also presented to the foreign operators, within which Russian Helicopters is able to provide service throughout the entire life cycle of the equipment.

"Russian equipment has long been present in the helicopter market of Latin America, but, nevertheless, we are interested in further development of our presence in the region and are open to cooperation. Newest helicopters presented at LAAD-2017 exhibition are capable of solving a wide range of tasks of both civilian and law enforcement agencies. In addition to equipment we can offer the required related services, including after sales service", said Deputy CEO for marketing and business development of Russian Helicopters Alexander Shcherbinin.

At the airshow, a large business program is expecting the Russian delegation. Representatives of Russian Helicopters together with their colleagues from JSC Rosoboronexport hold a series of meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation with Latin American countries, where numerous Soviet and Russian military and civil helicopters are used. One of the important topics of the negotiation is a promising multipurpose helicopter Mi-171A2. This flight vehicle has unique performance characteristics. The helicopter is of interest to a number of public and commercial structures of the countries of the region and is capable of solving a wide range of tasks – from patrolling and passenger transportation to search and rescue and transport operations.

Mi-28NE is a high-performance helicopter of new generation designed to perform combat missions at any time of day and in all weather conditions. It has high "survivability" and a powerful set of weapons. The helicopter can effectively combat tanks, self-propelled artillery platforms, infantry combat vehicles, armored personnel carriers and army air defense assets. In 2016, the export version of Mi-28NE helicopter was equipped with a dual control system.

Ka-226T helicopter has an unparalleled set of qualities making it indispensable when operating in small venues, including in dense urban areas. Due to its maneuverability, compact size, absence of antitorque rotor and high power-to-weight ratio, it can perform transport and special tasks in the most difficult conditions. Also, in March 2017, the holding company delivered the first shipborne Ka-226T helicopters. These machines have a number of features that significantly expand the potential for their application in coastal areas to protect borders, protect economic zones, safeguard offshore mining operations, and combat piracy.

Ansat is a light twin-engine multi-purpose helicopter with hydraulic/mechanical steering system and a capacity of 7–9 seats. The helicopter can carry 1,300 kg of payload in the cockpit and has the ability to quickly transform the cabin. Various modifications of this helicopter, as well as its ability of quick equipment change enable it to successfully solve the tasks of both civilian and law enforcement agencies. In December 2014 it was certified for passenger transportation. In May 2015, modification with medical module was certified. In October 2016, the first VIP version of Ansat was delivered to the customer, and in November Russian Helicopters signed the first contracts for Ansat with medical module supply to China.

LAAD Defence & Security exhibition takes place in Brazil every two years. Russian Helicopters participates in the exhibition since 2011.
