VOP CZ already enjoys a strong supplier relationship with NIMR and has been manufacturing armoured cabins for the AJBAN 440A for more than two years. This provided the catalyst for expanding the engagement to explore sales opportunities for the full NIMR vehicle range within the region, chiefly in the Visegrad Group of countries.

Czech Army is on the process to replace Land Rover jeep and Soviet-made UAZ light tactical vehicle in service with the Czech armed forces since many years. The Ajban 440A could be one of the vehicle which could replace all the old tactical vehicles used by the Czech army.

With the new threats of the modern battlefield, Czech Army needs to replace land Rover and UAZ with a family of more survivable vehicles with greater payload. VOP in partnership with NIMR would like to offer a new light protected vehicle to the Czech Army which can be used as a platform for chemical, reconnaissance, logistics, medical and other versions, thereby providing a common platform for multiple operational needs with a common logistic support base and lower lifecycle costs.

The Ajban 440A is a 4x4 logistic and utility protected vehicle with a four man cabin and cargo bed at the rear of the chassis. For its self-protection, the Ajban 440A can be fitted with a ring mount or a remotely operated weapon station armed with a 12.7mm heavy machine gun.
