New IAG MRAP armored vehicles Guardian Xtreme in 4x4 and 6x6 configurations


In September 2017, during DSEI, the International Defense Exhibition in London, the Company IAG (International Armored Group) based in United Arab Emirates has unveiled its Guardian Xtreme Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle in 4x4 and 6x6 configurations, a new evolution in the Guardian family of armoured vehicles developed, designed and manufactured by IAG.

International Armored Group (IAG) is one of the global leader in the manufacturing of wheeled protected and armoured vehicle with over 20 years of experience specializing in the fields of design, engineering, prototyping and manufacturing of armored commercial and tactical vehicles; armored components; and ballistic glass and framing systems, with locations in the United States of America, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Bulgaria, United Kingdom, Iraq and Pakistan.

The IAG Guardian Xtreme is especially designed to meet combat, tactical and surveillance missions and can quickly respond to remote area threats due to its high maneuverability.

The IAG Guardian Xtreme is available in 4x4 and 6x6 configurations with standard STANAG Level II blast and ballistic protection including the engine bay. It can be armored up to STANAG Level III protection using add-on light weight armor. It can offer maximum ballistic protection against firing of small arms 7.62×51mm AP (Armor-Piercing) caliber at 30 meters with 930 m/s. The vehicle can also withstand against a blast of 10 kg of TNT explosion under the hull and the wheels. The internal layout of the vehicle is designed to accommodate up to 10-12 fully geared infantry personnel, including driver and commander and is equipped with military grade-certified blast attenuation seats.

Both vehicles, IAG Guardian Xtreme in 4x4 and 6x6 configuration have a V-hull shaped floor to provide superior blast protection and a custom made heavy duty 12,000lbs front axle to provide additional payload. The Guardian Xtreme is specifically designed to meet combat, tactical and surveillance missions and can quickly respond to remote area threats due to its high maneuverability.

The roof of the vehicle can be fitted with manual open top turret or automatic remote control weapon station armed with machine gun up to 12.7mm caliber.

The IAG Guardian Xtreme can be motorized with a 6.7L V8 Diesel engine developing 300 hp. or 6.8L V10 petrol engine developing 352 hp coupled to a 6 speed automatic transmission. It can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km/h with a maximum range of 800 km.
