Turkish Company Katmerciler wants to sell its 4x4 armoured vehicle Pit-Bull VX to Azerbaijan.
Armored patrol vehicle Pit-Bull VX, newly produced by Turkish Katmerciler company, will be presented in Azerbaijan, company representative Ramazan Dincer told APA (Azerbaijan Press Agency). The Turkish company would like to propose the vehicle for the border guards of Azerbaijan.

Pit-Bull VX 4x4 armoured vehicle personnel carrier at IDEF 2013, defence exhibition in Turkey which was held in May of this year.
     

The vehicle designed for police and patrol operations is based on Ford-550 chassis. The Ford F550 is a class 5 Ford conventional truck. Its maintenance is easy: “With a total weight of 7,530 kg, Pit-Bull VX can carry 9 soldiers (2+7). The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 120 km/h and has turn radius of 9 meters.

All opaque material surrounding passenger area is replaced with hardened ballistic steel. The vehicle provides a protection against mine explosion, DM51 grenade/fragmentation and firing of small arms up to 7.62x39, 5.56x45, 7.62x51 & M80 calibers.

According to the company representative, Katmerciler previously sold TOMA vehicles to Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry. At the same time, the company exported various types of vehicles to SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic). The company, which produces various equipment's deployed on fire engines to extinguish fire in multi-storey buildings, is seeking opportunities for cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
