At Milipol 2011, the Worldwide Exhibition of Internal State Security, the famous computer manufacturer Dell presents its new rugged notebook E6420 XFR especially designed for the use in the worst conditions faced by military or security forces.

Dell has just busted out a new line of rugged computing solutions, with an aim to please law enforcement and military customers first and foremost.

The new rugged notebook Dell E6420 XFR are designed to work in the toughest environments, with these guys hardened by BallisticArmor.

The Dell Latitude E6420 XFR notebook offers strong performance and reliable data protection in a design that’s built to withstand the most challenging environments.

Build quality is excellent and extra features show real attention to detail. The XFR looks ready for anything. The tough, plastic composite chassis is together with plenty of screws and any point of the laptop likely to come into contact with the ground is shrouded in tough rubber. There's even a built-in handle that enables you to carry the entire 4.5kg machine like a briefcase.

Dell's third-generation fully rugged laptop, the Latitude E6420 XFR, is packed with new features such as optional hot-swappable media bay modules, vehicle docking, and stealth mode. Its 14-inch HD anti-glare LED display with Direct Vue technology provides sunlight-readability. The Latitude E6420 XFR also features Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, optional 512MB discrete graphics, optional solid state drives, and an array of wireless connectivity options including mobile broadband. It is MIL-STD-810G, and IP-65 compliant.
