The new ALTV of ACMAT defense in Homeland Security version at MILIPOL 2011

At MILIPOL 2011, the French Company ACMAT Defense presents a new version in the family of ALTV vehicle, an Homeland Security version. Very fast and highly mobile, the ALTV Pickup 4 is a true urban intercept and pursuit vehicle. Its excellent obstacle clearance capabilities make this 4x4 highly suited to extremely difficult terrain.

Fitted with a 190 HP 4-cylincer engine, it is capable of carrying a 1.3-tonne payload and transport up to 10 personnel.

This Homeland Security version has the following characteristics: flashing light bar, reinforced obstacle bumper, penetration flasher and an audible siren with speaker and amplifier. This vehicle is also equipped with a built-in mission system for Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition.

THALES and ACMAT have pooled their expertise to equip the ALTV with a system enabling the rapid identification of threats and to detect, observe, monitor and transmit orders. The main components include: a thermal IR camera for day/night observation, a surveillance radar and a ruggedized tactical terminal to display, digitise and record the field of view and individuals.

This combination provides an affordable asset to detect, observe, track and report in the most challenging tactical conditions. protected and autometed exploitation of sensors data allows fast identification of threats and timely dissemination of tactical information over radio networks.

It is also equipped with a P4RG radio communication system capable of intercepting and detecting enemy frequencies.
