Roketsan and WZL 1 establish a new industrial partnership at MSPO 2015
WZL 1 and Roketsan have signed today September 2nd a memorandum of understanding covering future cooperation on a range of defence industry activities. Under the terms of the agreement signed at the MSPO Defence & Security Exhibition in Kielce, the two companies will initially exchange business and technical information with the aim of verifying possible areas of cooperation.

The scope of the agreement is to formalize the intent of collaboration on products and programmes involving capabilities and solutions including, but not limited to the integration of the 2,75” Laser Guided Missile “CIRIT” and Laser Guided Long Rand Antitank Missile “UMTAS” on Mi series or on other types of helicopters platforms.

The MoU was signed by WZL 1 Chairman of the Board, General Director Mr. Jan Pietowski and Member of the Board, Commercial Director Mr. Zbigniew Sredzinski and Roketsan Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Erguder Toptas.

Jan Pietowski said: “WZL 1 is an expert in the overhaul, maintenance and modernization of Mi- family helicopters. For many years we have been developing and implementing the projects of different systems integration on the aircraft operated by the Polish Army. The initiative with Roketsan to integrate their systems on various types of aircraft widens the portfolio of our activities and opens the door to be recognizable not only in Poland but also abroad. On the other hand our cooperation can be an incentive for future customers to be interested in our common work.”
