Turkish Company BMC presents its full range of wheeled armoured vehicles at IDEF 2017.
Turkish Company BMC presents its full range of wheeled combat vehicles at IDEF 2017 including the Amazon 4x4 multi-purpose armoured vehicle, Kirpi 4x4 MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle in ambulance variant, Vuran 4x4 armoured tactical vehicle and Kirpi 4x4 MRAP with EOD detection system.
     
The BMC Amazon 4x4 multi-purpose armoured vehicle was presented for the first time to the public during the Defense Exhibition Eurosatory in June 2016. It's new generation of 4x4 combat vehicle offering high level of protection against mine and IEDs threats.

The BMC Amazon 4x4 multi-purpose armoured vehicle was presented for the first time to the public during the Defense Exhibition Eurosatory in June 2016. It's new generation of 4x4 combat vehicle offering high level of protection against mine and IEDs threats.

The BMC Amazon has a monocoque structure with integrated v-shaped armoured hull that protects people against mine blast by deflecting an upward directed blast away from the vehicle. The vehicle is also protected against side blasts from improvised and roadside explosive device (IED) and shell splinters.

The design of the BMC Amazon is standard with the engine at the front, the crew in the middle and the troops compartment at the rear. The vehicle can carry a total of 7 military personnel including driver and commander.

At IDEF 2017, the Amazon vehicle was fitted with a mobile laser area defense system (MLADS) which is designed to destroy drones at a maximum range of 2,000 m.

The Vuran is 4x4 tactical armoured vehicle designed and manufactured by the Company BMC, its was unveiled in May 2015 during the defense exhibition IDEF.

The BMC Vuran (4X4) Multi Purpose Armored Vehicle was developed to perform a full range of missions such as patrolling, surveillance, weapon carrying and security. Vuran has been produced to meet requirement of Turkish Police against a contract signed with General Directorate of Security underMinistry of Internal Affairs, Republic of Turkey.

As the Amazon, the Vuran features a monocoque-type armoured design for the crew compartment.that reduces weight for a given amount of armor compared to vehicles to which armor has been attached to an underlying frame.The V-shaped hull is of all-welded steel armour construction that provides the occupants with protection against 5.56 × 45 mm small arms fire, although also available is protection against 7.62 × 51 mm armour-piercing small arms fire.

The basic layout of the Vuran is similar to the BMC Amazon with the engine at the front, the crew in the middle and the troops compartment at the rear. The vehicle can carry a total of nine military personnel.

The front of the vehicle is fitted with interrogation arms system designed to provide road and convoy security against IEDs threats. The system also includes IED detection, IED interrogation, , IED Deactivation and Security management Vehicles that allows remote control.

The system also includes IED detection, IED interrogation, , IED Deactivation and Security management Vehicles that allows remote control.
 

The Kirpi MRAP features an all-welded steel armoured monocoque hull with a V-shaped lower half that provides a high level of protection against mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), small arms fire and shell splinters.

The Kirpi MRAP was launched in 2010 during the International Defense exhibition in Paris, Eurosatory. In 2009, Turkish army has ordered 468 vehicles and now 600 vehicles are now in service with the Turkish armed forces.

The Kirpi MRAP is also produced for the export market and the first customer was Tunisia, which has ordered 40 vehicles in 2014. In December 2016, it was announced that the Kirpi vehicle would also be produced for Pakistan.
     
At IDEF 2017, BMC also presents a Kirpi 4x4 MRAP in ambulance configuration. The vehicle is configured to transport emergency medical teams in and out of dangerous areas, safely and securely.

At IDEF 2017, BMC also presents a Kirpi 4x4 MRAP in ambulance configuration. The vehicle is configured to transport emergency medical teams in and out of dangerous areas, safely and securely.

The vehicle is designed to offer the same level of protection as all the family of Kirpi MRAPs. The internal layout offers the capacity for two litter patients, and two ambulatory patients.
