IDEX (International Defence Exhibition and Conference) is a biennial defense trade show and conference held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is one of the largest and most important defense exhibitions in the world and brings together defense companies, government delegations, military officials, and industry experts from around the globe.

The event features exhibits of the latest technologies and equipment in the defense industry, including land, sea, and air systems, as well as security and surveillance technologies. It also includes conferences and seminars on a wide range of defense-related topics, such as cybersecurity, counterterrorism, and unmanned systems.

IDEX serves as a platform for defense companies to showcase their products and services to potential customers, and for governments to demonstrate their military capabilities and explore new defense partnerships. The event attracts thousands of visitors, including high-level government officials and military leaders, and has become a key event in the global defense industry calendar.

At IDEX 2023, The UAE's EDGE, one of the world's leading advanced technology and defense groups, has announced a strategic investment in High Lander, the company behind Universal UTM, a drone-agnostic unmanned traffic management solution that provides the automation, coordination, and safety much needed in increasingly crowded skies. The US$14 million investment creates a ground-breaking partnership and is already forging ongoing deals and high-value opportunities in both the military and civilian domains between some of the world's biggest technology providers, as both companies progress along their respective roadmaps.

Remah International Group (RIG) via Gulf Aerospace Company (GACO) and Etienne Lacroix Group via Lacroix Defense, have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture named Gulf ACM Manufacturing in the UAE. The agreement was signed on February 22 in the Remah international group( RIG) stand at the International Defense Exposition (IDEX) 2023 by Mr. Mohamed Khalfan Al Qemzi, Chairman and Managing Director of RIG, and Mr François Moulinier, Chief Operations Officer (COO), of Lacroix Defense.
