Bumar Group of Poland opens new small arms factory in Radom for $33 million.
The Marshal of the Polish Parliament Mrs Ewa Kopacz and Minister of Treasury Mr Mikolaj Budzanowski participated in the inauguration of new arms factory. With investment worth about PLN 100 million, will produce modern weapons for the Polish Army and various services.

Tailored to the production needs of state-of-the-art small arms, the plant will be built on the outskirts of Radom, in the Special Economic Zone managed by the Industrial Development Agency. New production hall will house the making of P-99 pistols, PM-98 machine pistols, as well as mini-beryl and beryl rifles. In the future, also ultra-modern Modular Small Arms System-5.56 mm (MSBS-5,56 mm) aka will be produced there.

At the construction ceremony for the new factory, Minister Budzanowski, presenting a rifle to be produced by the Fabryka Broni said: This is a project whose implementation will be continually monitored, and the manufactured weapons will strengthen our competitive position on the foreign markets. This investment also means new jobs. The construction itself will allow to employ 500 persons.

The investment is planned for the first quarter of 2014, its total cost will be about PLN 100 million (PLN 58.2 million construction cost, and about PLN 42 million for factory equipment). Resources for its implementation will come from IDA and the Bumar Group.

The project “New Arms Factory” is a part of modernization process of Fabryka Broni “Lucznik” being part of the Bumar Group.
