Caiman 6x6 MRAP vehicle was recently acquire by by the Northwest Regional SWAT team of United States. Merrillville police Cmdr. Robert Wiley, a Northwest Regional SWAT team leader, said the vehicle is bulletproof and it can withstand blasts from many types of explosive devices.

Army of Poland plans to purchase 105 Leopard 2A5 and nine 2A4 main battle tanks from Germany
 

According to Janes defense website, Polish Army plans to purchase 105 Leopard 2A5 and nine Leopard 2A4. from ex-German stocks. Leopard 2A5's will be transferred to 10th Armored Cavalry brigade that is currently using Leopard 2A4 tanks, and Leopard 2A4's will be transferred to 34th Armored Cavalry Brigade currently suing PT-91 tanks, then these PT-91's will be transferred to one of several brigades using T-72M1 tanks.

Raytheon Company of United States successfully completed an initial round of live-fire testing with a new U.S. Marine Corps Light Armored Vehicle Anti-Tank (LAV-AT) weapon system. The upgraded, highly mobile, anti-armor LAV-AT weapon system is designed to protect reconnaissance and light infantry. Its mission is to defeat threats at long-range, day or night, and in all weather conditions.

Netherlands will send 380 soldiers and Apache attack helicopters to support UN mission in Mali
 

The government of Netherlands will send around 380 military officers to Mali to support the UN mission MINUSMA, the Dutch minister council stated in a press release Friday, November 1, 2013. The Dutch troops will leave before the end of 2013 and are expected to stay at least until December 2015. The mission will have two major purposes: The training of Mali police and military officers and the collection of intelligence.

Israeli security cabinet authorized an additional budget of 2.75 billion shekels (about 800 million U.S. dollars) for the Defense Ministry on Thursday, said a statement sent by the Prime Minister's Office. According to the statement, the money to be passed to the ministry is a surplus created in the treasury, which allowed to follow through on a ministerial decision from May to increase the defense budget.
