Equatorial Guinea has just ordered 48 ALTVs for its police and gendarmerie forces. This urgent need will enable this country to strengthen security during the Africa Cup of Nations football tournament it is co-hosting with Gabon in early 2012.

The ALTV vehicles, delivered in a personnel carrier version, will be configured according to the customer's specifications with riot control equipment. ACMAT won this new contract by proposing customised vehicles precisely meeting the specifications issued by Equatorial Guinea, in particular screens to protect the passengers from stone-throwing.

The ALTV, a 4-wheel drive pick-up produced by ACMAT, the famous maker of the light military multi-role truck VLRA, is continuing to build its reputation on the African markets. Nearly two hundred vehicles are already in service in Niger, Mauritania, Congo, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo and Chad.
