Almaz-Antey to deliver complete set of S-400 Triumf air defense systems to Russian military
 
Russia’s Defense Ministry will receive a complete set of S-400 Triumf air defense systems on October 10, prior to the scheduled date, the Russian defense concern Almaz-Antey’s press service said on Thursday. Russian troops will receive the air defense systems on the single acceptance day at the Kapustin Yar training range, near Astrakhan, Volga Region, the press service said.

Colombian Naval Infantry eyes on the General Dynamics' LAV III DVH light armored vehicle
 
According to Infodefensa, Colombian Marine Corps is interested in initiating a process for the selection of a 8x8 Armoured Personnel Carrier vehicle, with which it will reinforce the fleet of its Mobile Battalion No.1 (BAMIM No. 1). The intention would be to acquire a similar vehicle as used in the Colombian Army, in order to standardize the fleet and reduce logistics costs.

The Gray Eagle and Shadow unmanned aircraft systems, or UAS have proven themselves up to the challenge in a series of manned-unmanned teaming tests with the U.S. Army's newest Apache, the AH-64 "E" model, and the One System Remote Video Terminal during the past two months at both Redstone Arsenal and El Mirage Flight Test Facility in California.

General Dynamics moves into low rate production on its Ground Mobility Vehicle 1.1 program
 
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems has reached a critical milestone and is moving to low rate initial production (LRIP) on the Ground Mobility Vehicle 1.1 program after receiving notice that a Milestone C Decision has been reached by U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Under the LRIP option, General Dynamics will produce and deliver 72 vehicles to USSOCOM by 2016.

Russia will deploy 20 Tornado-G multiple-launch rocket systems in Eastern Region

Ukrainian state-owned conglomerate Ukroboronprom and the Construction Office "Luch" recently unveiled the Sarmat Combat Module. This new combat system is designed to equip number of armored vehicles, small ships, boats, and also coast guard motorboat. Sarmat Combat Module is designed to destroy both stationery and mobile armoured targets.

BAE Systems has been awarded a $153.6 million contract from the U.S. Army to convert 53 M88A1 recovery vehicles to the M88A2 Heavy Equipment Recovery Combat Utility Lift Evacuation System (HERCULES) configuration. Work on the contract will extend the M88 production line within the Combat Vehicle Industrial Base through 2016.

After observing a military exercise in Osku, in western Hungary, Orban said that it has become necessary to replace basic equipment. He said it would be “rather costly” but added that it need not be completed “in one go”.
