Indian Nuclear capable Agni-I missile successfully test-fired
 
India today successfully test-fired its indigenously built nuclear capable Agni-I missile, which has a strike range of 700 km, from a test range off Odisha coast as part of a user trial by the Army. The surface-to-surface, single-stage missile, powered by solid propellants, was test-fired from a mobile launcher at about 11.11 hrs from launch pad-4 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Wheeler Island.

Raytheon Company has received a $109 million Engineering Services contract for its Patriot Air and Missile Defense System. The contract, issued by the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is for ongoing technical support and services to the U.S. Army and Foreign Military Sale customers to ensure readiness of their Patriot systems.

The US Army on Sepember 5 activated a new Cyber Protection Brigade — the first of its kind in the US Army — at Fort Gordon, Georgia. "The brigade’s activation represents a deeper Army investment in its cyberspace capabilities", said Lt. Gen. Edward Cardon, commanding general of US Army Cyber Command, in a statement.
