Since the drawdown of the US Forces from the operations in Afghanistan, a large inventory of MRAP vehicles has been made available to possible customers, as it was expensive to return it to the mainland US. Jordan has profited from this opportunity by acquiring battlefield proved Cougar and MaxxPro MRAPS thus, increasing the protection and fighting capability of its special operations forces.
