New 4x4 armoured vehicles and 300mm MLRS rocket launchers in service with Belarus army.
Armed Forces of Belarus present new armoured vehicles during the military parade for the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, July 3, 2017. During the parade, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has announced the boost for the defense capabilities of the country and the development of the local defense industry.
     
During the military parade in Belarus, new armoured vehicles and military equipment that had recently entered service in the armed forces with the Belarus armed forces including the Caiman 4x4 armoured vehicle in different configurations, the CS/VN3 a Chinese-made 4x4 APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier), the Volat (Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant Open Joint Stock Company) MZKT-490100 and the Polonez a new local-made 300mm MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System).

The Caiman is a modernized variant of the Soviet-made BRDM-2 developed and manufactured in Belarus to offer a modern reconnaissance vehicle for the Belarusian Army but also for the international market.

During the military parade in Belarus, new armoured vehicles and military equipment that had recently entered service in the armed forces with the Belarus armed forces including the Caiman 4x4 armoured vehicle in different configurations, the CS/VN3 a Chinese-made 4x4 APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier), the Volat (Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant Open Joint Stock Company) MZKT-490100 and the Polonez a new local-made 300mm MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System).

The Caiman is a modernized variant of the Soviet-made BRDM-2 developed and manufactured in Belarus to offer a modern reconnaissance vehicle for the Belarusian Army but also for the international market.

The new Caiman is based on the chassis of Soviet-made BRDM-2 but with many improvements, the original turret is removed and there is two hatches on the top of crew compartment and one door on each side of the hull. The front of the vehicle is very similar to the German Fennek, 4x4 reconnaissance vehicle, 4x4 reconnaissance vehicle. The driver is seated at the front of the vehicle with excellent vision to his front via three large bulletproof windows.

According to Chinese website, the ZYZ8001 is wheeled armoured vehicle developed by DaJiang industrial that was especially designed for the Chinese Police. The Belarus version is fitted with one-man open-top turret with armour plates on 360° and armed with a 7.62mm machine gun.

The CS/VN3 is a Chinese-made 4x4 armoured vehicle designed and manufactured by in China by the Chinese Companies NORINCO and Poly Technologies. The development of the CS/VN3 was released in 2007 and unveiled for the first time to the public at AirShow China in November 2012.

At the end of June 2017, Belarus army has received a first batch of CS/VN3 to equip the Special Operations Forces. According to our first analysis, the design of CS/VN3 for Belarus is not similar to the original version and could be the 4x4 armoured vehicle ZYZ8001 also called QJC88 manufactured by the Chinese Company Chongqing Dajiang. The new Chinese armoured vehicles at the Belarus army parade had the brand of Dajiang at the front of engine compartment.

The MZKT-490100 is 4x4 armoured vehicle designed and manufactured by the Belarus Company Volat (Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant Open Joint Stock) which is now in service with the Belarus army in different configurations as radio relay stations, mobile anti-aircraft artillery systems 2K20 Zenit, rescue and medical armoured vehicle

The MZKT-490100 is 4x4 armoured vehicle designed and manufactured by the Belarus Company Volat (Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant Open Joint Stock) which is now in service with the Belarus army in different configurations as radio relay stations, mobile anti-aircraft artillery systems 2K20 Zenit, rescue and medical armoured vehicle.

The MZKT-490100 was displayed for the first time to the public during the defense exhibition Eurosatory in June 2016. It a gross weight of 11,000 kg and a payload weight of 1,500kg.

The MZKT-490100 design is conventional for a modern wheeled armoured vehicle with the engine at the front, the crew in the middle and troops compartment at the rear. It can carry a total of 8 military personnel including driver and commander and 6 infantrymen.

The hull of the MZKT-490100 provides protection STANAG 4569 Level 2, which offers ballistic protection against firing of small arms 7.62x39mm caliber and mine protection of 6 kg explosive under center of the floor and wheels.

The Polonez is a latest generation of 300mm MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) designed and developed by the Belarus defense industry. The systems was unveiled in 2015 and Belarus armed has conducted first firing test in June 2016.

The Polonez is a latest generation of 300mm MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) designed and developed by the Belarus defense industry. The systems was unveiled in 2015 and Belarus armed has conducted first firing test in June 2016.

The Polonez 300mm MLRS is based on the Belarus-made 8x8 military trucks chassis MZKT-7930 manufactured by the Company Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant. There is two pods of four launchers of 300mm. it can fire guided rocker using GPS guidance system with a maximum range of 200 km.

According to military experts, the Polonez use the Chinese-made A200 artillery rockets and is also able to fire short-range ballistic missiles at a maximum range of 280 km.
