Poly Defence intoduces RDN-400B anti-UAV gun at ADEX 2016

What seems to be the first China-made anti-UAV jamming gun appeared this week at this 2nd edition of Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition in Baku. The RDN-400B has been unveiled by the Chinese defense contractor Poly Defence.

RDN-400B's design is quite similiar to the well-known Battelle’s DroneDefender already in service with the US military deployed in Iraq.
Systems as the RDN-400B anti-UAV gun disrupt the adversary's control of the drone, neutralizing it so no remote action, including detonation, can occur, minimizing drone damage and risk to public safety. According to Poly Defence, the RDN-400B has a range of 400 m, depending on the electromagnetic environment. The systems uses the 915M, 2.4G, and 5.8G jamming frequency. It is able to work on L1-L2 GPS bands, B1-B2-B3 Beidou bands and on L1-L2 GLONASS bands. According to pictures released by Poly Defence, the jamming system could be adapted and mounted on existing assault rifle structures. Poly Defence is part of Poly Technologies Inc. Established in 1984, Poly Technologies Inc. is a large-scaled defense company authorized by the central Government for the import and export of all ranges of defense equipments for Army, Navy, Air Force, police and anti-terrorism. Poly Defence made its first appearance at Zhuhai Airshow, showcasing a variety of independently developed products e.g. firefinder/weapon locating radar and high mobility precision strike system. |
