Polish Company Szczesniak presents its new armoured recovery truck KWZT Mammuth at ALMEX.

The Mammuth recovery truck is designed for recovery damaged wheeled vehicles which are in service of many armies worldwide. Besides the capability for towing and field interim maintenance the vehicle is able to stand up the fallen over vehicles, exchanging armed turrets and provide supplies. This recovery truck is based on the chassis of Tatra T815 - 7ZOR97 truck. The unique sus pension of Tatra combined with the most advanced towing system makes probably the best military recovery vehicle.

Armour:
The vehicle is equipped with armored cab for 4 of crew protected according to STANAG 4569, two armored fuel tanks (3201) and Run Flat tires system which enables drive with damaged tire. The cab and other armored components were tested by Polish Army Armor and Vehicle Institute.

Superstructure:
The superstructure consists of two modules of side lockers which are made with welded, closed stainless
profiles, mounted to the support frame and leveled on metal-rubber mounts which isolate the vibrating chassis form the superstructure. The body was painted with radar wave absorbing paint. The roof is designed as a transport-working platform with anti-skidding finishing.
