In cooperation with Global Shield, ISDS (International Security & Defence Systems) has developed a new armored vehicle, which will be presented for the first time at the LAAD 2012 exhibition taking place in Brazil in April. FORT1 is a portable land platform with an automatic gear and a diesel engine, capable of moving in the harshest terrain conditions.
The Fort One can be used as a personnel carrier; a police, peacekeeping, command, reconnaissance, liaison, or patrol vehicle; as a light weapons system platform; for logistics support; as an artillery tractor; and even as an ambulance.

The vehicle’s center of gravity was constructed so that it could withstand considerable jolting, and its armor was designed so that it could withstand roadside bombs containing large quantities of explosives.

The vehicle’s protective units are modular, so that they can undergo modifications according to the field conditions and the threat within a short timeframe.

The vehicle can carry 8-12 passengers, and its measurements allow it to be mobilized by air or sea. The vehicle can be converted into a portable forward command post, and observation towers can be placed in it. In addition, it can be used for evacuating casualties in emergency scenarios: the vehicle can carry stretchers with the wounded person on them.

The FORT1 allows for the integration of several systems such as radar, non-lethal weapons, and intelligence collection systems. NBC, communications, jamming, and night-vision systems, capable of transferring real-time photo information and audio, can also be assembled on the new platform.

This is the first vehicle developed by ISDS. The company, owned by Leo Galzer, specializes in the integration of defense systems and instruction, and operates in parallel in tens of countries.
