New successful test for Davids Sling Terminal Missile Defense Interceptor Weapon System 640 001
The Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) of the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D) and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) recently conducted David’s Sling Test-3 (DST-3) series of tests, where threat representative targets were successfully intercepted by the David’s Sling Weapon System, achieving all test objectives.

Building on their combined platform integration experience, Raytheon Company and DRS Technologies have entered into a teaming agreement for the U.S. Army's 3rd Generation Improved Forward Looking Infrared program (3rd Gen IFLIR) B-Kit. The first two generations of FLIR technology have served forces for more than 50 years and now Raytheon is introducing third-generation FLIR technology to the battlefield.

The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) of the ministry of defence has cleared the acquisition of 30 weapon locating radars – Swathi – from Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) at a total cost of Rs 1,605 crores ($256 million, €236 million). The BEL Weapon Locating Radar (WLR) is a mobile artillery locating Phased array radar.

According Sputnik Russian press agency, the tank’s builder, the Uralvagonzavod plant, can roll out around 500 T-14 Armata tanks each year. The tank will go through state trials in 2016, and it is expected that by 2020, over 2,300 tanks on the Armata platform will be supplied to the Russian military.

The newest armored high security Typhoon-K vehicles manufactured by KAMAZ will participate in the Victory Parade in the Red Square on May 9. Typhoon-K will be competing for State purchase contracts with the armored vehicle produced by the Ural automobile plant. The Russian army may accept both armored vehicles.
