Orbital ATK awarded US DOD contract for international customers
The US Department of Defense has awarded Orbital ATK a contract for the production of ammunition. The Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is for the supply of non-US standard ammunition and mortar weapons systems in support of international allies.

The initial contract is estimated at USD20 million. The last three-year IDIQ orders to Orbital ATK, which expired in December 2015, reached USD300 million. The company operates US Army’s Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in Missouri. It is the largest producer of small calibre ammunition for the US DOD.
