The parachute system capable of landing combat swimmers in full gear directly onto the water was developed by specialists of the Polyot Ivanovo Parachute Plant of the Technodinamika holding company. It can be used for airdrops at altitudes up to 8,000 m at an aircraft speed of 140-350 km/h. The 37.2 m2 ram-air type parachute provides a carrying capacity of up to 225 kg, allowing to fasten special diving equipment and deploy a diver in full gear. In addition, there is a mount for a universal cargo strap providing 130 kg of capacity.

”An important feature of our new system is a harness that allows a paratrooper in diving gear to quickly and safely get rid of a parachute when landing on the water and immediately proceed with their combat mission underwater. The design also includes a cargo strap, which allows airdrops of heavier equipment, such as diver propulsion vehicles, to the target destination. The parachute system for divers is currently undergoing the final stage of development tests”, said the CEO of Technodinamika, Igor Nasenkov.
