Israeli Army (IDF) Iron Dome air defence missile system intercepted Grad rockets fired from Gaza.
The Israeli Army Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted a Grad rocket fired from Gaza at Ashkelon Friday evening, at around 10 pm, after two Qassam rockets exploded in Eshkol Regional Council.

Altogether, terrorists fired 17 rockets and a number of mortar shells at Israel on Friday. No injuries or damage were reported.

In response of this rockets fired at Israel, IAF (Israeli air Force) targets sites in the Gaza Strip, Thursday night (August 18) and Friday morning (August 19). The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli civilians and soldiers.

A short while ago, IAF aircraft targeted two weapons manufacturing sites in the central Gaza Strip and a terror activity site in both the northern and southern Gaza Strip. Hits were confirmed.

"The IDF will continue to prevent terrorism and will respond decisively and with force in the Gaza Strip," IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Mordechai said on Friday. "At the same time, we are setting up investigations to learn the lessons of Thursday's events."
