Iran has unveiled two new short-range missile and two types of drones this Sunday, August 24, 2014.

President Hassan Rouhani inaugurated four new defense achievements by the Air Industries Organizations affiliated to the Iranian Army, on Sunday.

The achievements included two new brands of cruise marine missiles and two types of drones. The reconnaissance drone is the latest in the chain of indigenous unmanned aerial craft which is designed and manufactured by the Iranian defense experts.

The new missile designated as Qadir inaugurated today is the newest type of cruise missiles manufactured by Iran which has the capability of targeting enemies in up to 100 kms with high precision and pounding power. It could be launched both from sea and coastal platforms.

One major feature of Qadir missiles is that they could be launched from the same old platforms used for other types of missiles as well, thus giving the Iranian army enhanced operational capabilities.
