The new missile, the Fateh 313, is the 6th generation of the solid-propellant Fateh-series which are considered the most accurate Iranian missiles.

Several versions of the Fateh missile have been produced in the past few years. The 313 mannequin has been efficiently examined and is scheduled for mass manufacturing, the Sepah Information report stated.

Gen. Hossein Dehghan reported that, “the previous contract had been canceled but after the recent negotiations Iran and Russian Federation have reached an agreement to deliver S-300 surface-to-air missile systems”. Iran has always denied seeking a nuclear bomb.

The latest UN Security Council resolution adopting the nuclear agreement bars Iran from owning missiles “designed to carry nuclear warheads”.

According to Iran’s deal with Western powers, any transfer to Tehran of ballistic missile technology in the next eight years will be subject to the United Nations Security Council’s approval.
