(Lucznik Radom Arms Factory) has recently signed a contract with the Polish Defense Ministry Armament Inspectorate for the delivery of nearly 8,000 Beryl Mod. 96 5.56 mm assault rifles and Mod. 96 Mini Beryl rifles. Value of the order reaches an amount of PLN 42.5 million (US$11.3M).

The donation by the Chinese Defense Ministry, the biggest to the Ugandan military over the past years, includes three 50-ton cranes, 12 troop carriers, four 10,000-liter water wagons and 16 water trailers, Lt. Col. Paddy Ankunda, spokesperson for Uganda People's Defense Forces (UPDF), said.
