Ukroboronprom delivers another batch of BREM-1 recovery vehicle to Ukraine armed forces.
UKROBORONPROM SE “Lviv Armored Plant” transferred another batch of BREM-1 tracked armoured recovery and repair vehicle to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The BREM-1 is based on the chassis of T-72 main battle tank.

The BREM-1 is based on the chassis of T-72 main battle tank. Russian army BREM-1 tracked armoured recovery vehicle at Defense Exhibition near Moscow.
     
A 4.4 m hydromechanical crane is mounted on the top left side of the vehicle, used for lifting damaged or ditched vehicles for access or repair. The crane has a lifting capacity of 3,000 kg at the full 4.4 m extension or 19,000 kg at 2 m extension.

For recovery operations the BREM-1 is equipped with hoisting and auxiliary winches, add-on plough and bulldozer blades, towing equipment and a full set of accessories. The mechanical main winch has a capacity of 25,000 kg but this may be increased by using snatch blocks to 100,000 kg.

“SE “Lviv Armored Plant “is the only enterprise in Ukraine, performing repair and manufacture of specialized engineering equipment. These vehicles are essential on the front line. They help to quickly solve a number of important tasks, “- said the plant director Roman Tymkiv.

Lviv Armored Plant also repairs and manufactures engineering machine – IMP-2; armored mine-clearing vehicle BMP-2; modernized armored fire truck GPM-72. As of today, the enterprise has fully complied with its contractual obligation to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in military equipment repair.


For 2 years the SC “UkrOboronProm” delivered 12,716 units of weapons and military equipment to the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. Since 3 qr. 2014, the Ukrainian army has received 8012 units of new and modernized military equipment. Also during this time, the military received 4704 units of repaired weapons and military equipment. In 2 years the army began receiving modern weaponry of domestic production. Drones, aircraft, armored vehicles, adapted to NATO standards. This military equipment greatly enhances capabilities of Ukrainian soldiers on the front.
