AM General Awarded Over $151 Million for Domestic and International HMMWV Sales and Service
AM General has been awarded new HMMWV contracts and modifications to existing domestic and international contracts for vehicles and parts for Afghanistan, Ukraine and the United States National Guard and Reserves totaling $151,051,833.00.

The recently announced contracts noted above cover items to include new production vehicles, automotive kits, spare parts and training.

For Afghanistan, the company will supply 360 M1152A1B2 HMMWVs and 73 M1151A1B1 HMMWVs. For the Ukraine, the company will provide 40 M1152 HMMWV Ambulances. For the National Guard and Reserves, the company will provide 237 additional M997A3 HMMWV Ambulance Vehicles.

HMMWVs are used in more than 60 partner nations, continuously evolving with significantly increased mobility, protection, reliability and durability in order to meet changing military missions and threats …all at an affordable price.”

There are approximately 230,000 HMMWVs currently in vehicle fleets around the world.

These contract awards demonstrate the ongoing critical operational need for the HMMWV and AM General’s position as the unmatched leader in modernizing and maintaining the light tactical fleet for the United States and around the world.
