Austrian firearms manufacturer Ritter and Stark presents production model of its new sniper rifle SLX .308win caliber at BIDEC 2017, the Bahrain International Defense Exhibition and Conference. Shortly after the SX-1 MTR rifle was introduced, the Ritter & Stark R&D team began to work on a short action model using all the technological and functional potential which had been achieved in creating the SX-1 Modular Tactical Rifle.
The new Austrian-made SLX short action multi-caliber precision rifle .308 Win. caliber.
The SLX is designed as a light short action multi-caliber rifle with outstanding precision known today to act as priority choice for shooting competitions and tactical matches.
The Ritter & Stark SLX short action multi-caliber precision rifle can be used with the calibers .308 Win. and 6.5 Creedmoor. The calibers .260 Rem. and 6.5x47 Lapua will be available later on. It will make this rifle the most flexible precision rifle available on the market now.
Ritter & Stark offers a 1/2 MOA(Precision guaranteed with high quality match factory ammunition), thanks to our pioneering, stress-free barrel manufacturing process, innovative design, precise CNC machining and the high-grade materials which are used for our products. Each barrel is supplied with a 12 MOA MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail (20, 30 or 40 MOA optional) which is fixed directly on the barrel allowing the rifle scope to remain zeroed after a barrel change procedure. The SLX is equipped with an adjustable two-stage Remington 700® trigger, an AR-15 style fl at top grip and a handguard that accommodates M-LOK® mounting interface.
The SLX also features the same monolithic barrel design with integrated locking lugs as the SX-1 MTR rifle does.
The unique proprietary stress-free rifling process allows the SLX to maintain the unmatched out-of-the-box precision of 1/2 MOA* with substantial gains in barrel life. The adjustable stock, also carried over from the SX-1 MTR, allows length of pull, cheek piece height and recoil pad position adjustment to fit any operator. The optional Ritter & Stark folding mechanism, which allows the stock to be folded to the right or left side of the receiver, is available as an option.
