At the CIDEX 2012 International Defence Electronics Exhibition of Beijing in China, the Chinese Company ECRIEE East China Research Institute of Electronic Engineering presents the latest generation of local-made UAV (Unmmaned Aerial Vehicle), the JY-203 UAV-borne with SAR System.

East China Research Institute of Electronic Engineering (ECRIEE) mainly researches, develops and manufactures comprehensive electronic information system including radar and other national air defense system.

The majority of the institute' s 2000 employees are professionally gualified engineers including 460 senior engineers and 71 professors who work in every area of electronic engineering research. Since its foundation, ECRIEE has made more than 1500 technical achievements, and has provided large number of electronic eguipment to the domestic and overseas customer.

The JY-203 UAV system is a reconnaissance system based upon Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) sensor (Ku band), which is installed on UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), and also on broad range of other aircraft - turbo-prop, jet, or helicopter. JY-203 system can keep constant imaging resolution within entire effective detection area, and has certain penetration characteristics, under the influence of light, dust, smoke, fog, cloud and temperature. It is featured with large detection area, and long detection range.


The JY-203 is equipped with SAR ( Synthetic Aperture Radar) sensor. Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image data provide information different from that of optical sensors operating in the visible and infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum.
